Introduction

Arturo Rúa

Arturo Rúa, piano was born in 1982 in Vigo, Spain. He began his music studies at the age of 11 with Tatiana Sajarova, and later with Enrique Goberna at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo. He earned his Nivel Superior from Manhattan School of Music, where he was a pupil of Dr. Donn-Alxandre Feder. Mr. Rúa has performed throughout Spain, Portugal, France and the United States, and gave performance lectures of Spanish music around the metropolitan area through his own project, Música lbérica. Currently, Mr. Rúa is pursuing his degree in Master in Music at NYU under Miyoko Lotto, as a scholarship recipient of the Fundación Caixagalicia. He began his relationship with Amigos de la Zarzuela in May of 2005 with the performance of Luisa Fernanda.
